Anthropic partners with UST to embed Claude across engineering, healthcare, telecom, and banking platforms
Anthropic announced a partnership on July 9, 2026 with UST, a global technology and engineering services company, to embed Claude across UST's industry-specific platforms and to train 20,000 of UST's engineers, architects, and consultants on Claude worldwide.

The partnership spans several of UST's named platforms:
- iDEC, UST's hardware validation platform, where Claude Code is being used directly on chip design work. Anthropic describes the workflow concretely: "Claude Code reads chip pinouts and hardware schematics directly, then writes and runs regression tests — the checks that confirm a change to a design didn't cause an unintended downstream effect."
- CarePath, UST's healthcare platform.
- IntelliOps, its telecom platform.
- FinX, its banking platform.
Beyond the platform integrations, UST is running Claude training and certification for its workforce through the Claude Partner Network, aiming to get engineers, architects, and consultants proficient with Claude across all of these verticals.

Context
The deal continues Anthropic's push to expand Claude's enterprise footprint through systems integrators and consultancies rather than solely through direct enterprise sales — a route that lets Claude reach many end-client industries (semiconductors, manufacturing, healthcare, telecom, banking) through a single partner's existing relationships and delivery teams.
It also extends Claude's presence into hardware and physical-engineering workflows, an area Anthropic has been building out via Claude Code's ability to work with schematics and design files, rather than purely software-development tasks.
Why it matters
The chip-pinout and regression-testing use case on iDEC is the most technically notable piece here: it points to Claude being used as a working tool inside hardware engineering pipelines, not just for code review or documentation. That's a step beyond the software-centric agentic coding use cases that have dominated Claude Code's public narrative so far.
The scale of the workforce commitment — 20,000 engineers, architects, and consultants trained and certified — is also significant for Anthropic's Claude Partner Network strategy, which depends on partners building institutional fluency with Claude so it gets embedded into vertical software rather than treated as a bolt-on chatbot.
